Madison Youth Football Registration Process

Madison YFC is the all volunteer, local membership structure of AYF and stays true to the objective of providing the opportunity for young athletes in the community to play the game of football in a positive and competitive environment. The Madison YFC mission subscribes to the governing principles of safety, fundamentals, sportsmanship, physical standards and full participation.  The coaches, athletes and volunteers help maintain this standard of excellence.

REFUND POLICY:  Cheer uniforms, game jerseys and other equipment are ordered during the registration window and cannot be returned. Refunds may be issued only after submitting a request to the Madison YFC President and are subject to Board approval.  Madison YFC recognizes that circumstances arise that prevent an athlete’s participation through no fault of his/her own. The lack of desire to participate is NOT grounds for reimbursement.  Madison YFC permits reimbursement on a case-by-case basis. The registration processing fee is non-refundable.

VOLUNTEER PARTICIPATION:
Volunteers are important to Madison Youth Football and Cheer! Your participation matters and is crucial to our goal to provide the best equipment and facilities we can for our young athletes.  A fully REFUNDABLE, mandatory, volunteer participation fee is collected at the time of registration.  This leads to our two options for our families.

OPTION #1:  VOLUNTEER JUST FOUR HOURS:
We require each family to donate FOUR (4) hours of your time to help provide concession stand and/or run the entrance gates to collect admission money at each home game.
The requirement is for a total of 4 hours per family.  These hours are met by a first come first serve basis, so we encourage each family to sign up as soon as possible to make sure they meet their requirements.
Volunteer Positions that meet the mandatory 4 Hours:
1.  Gate Duty (money collection)
2.  Concession Duty

OPTION #2:  “OPT-Out” fee of $40
We understand not everyone is able to volunteer, but in order for MYFC to continue at its high standard, we need the support of our families.
We have an "OPT-OUT FEE" of $40, to cover the cost for Madison YFC to replace your service.

This fee is REFUNDABLE at the conclusion of the season once these items have been met:
1.  Volunteer hours are completed
2.  Volunteer participation has been verified
3.  Football equipment is returned.

If a family of a participating player opts out of the mandatory volunteer participation policy, then the $40.00 fee is retained.

Scheduling for volunteers will be done during pre-season training.

Official Coaches, Team Parents, and Board Members meet the four hour requirement by serving in their official capacity.  Each team is authorized four (4) coaches and one (1) team parent for a total of five (5) official positions.  Cheer is authorized two (2) coaches and one (1) team parent for a total of three (3) official positions.
